6946 Forest Ave, Ste 201, Richmond, VA 23230. Come into the front entrance of the building and go to the 2nd floor- the DAV Cosmetic Center is located adjacent to the dermatology office (to the right).
What information should I have with me for my first visit?
You should be prepared to share your medical history, current list of medications, and skincare routine/current products you are using.
What if I'm not sure what treatments are right for me?
At your consultation we will discuss your concerns and review all options available to help you choose the right treatment!
What is the first consultation like?
The first consult involves a full discussion of your skin concerns, your medical history and medications- we will work together with you to formulate a personalized treatment plan that works for your skin and your budget.
Are all of the treatments non-invasive?
No, there are some treatments that are more invasive than others
Are all of the cosmetic treatments out-patient procedures?
Yes.
What is your cancellation policy?
Your scheduled appointment time is reserved especially for you. We kindly request at least 48 hours' notice for cancellations or rescheduling. Late cancellations or missed appointments may incur a fee. We appreciate your consideration of our providers' time and the opportunity to offer that appointment to another patient.
Are any of the cosmetic treatments covered by insurance?
Cosmetic treatments are considered elective and not covered by insurance. You can, however, submit receipts for possible reimbursement by your FSA or HSA plan- but we cannot guarantee coverage for any services completed at our center.
How long does an appointment/procedure usually take?
The treatments take anywhere from 15 min to 75 min depending on what treatment
Is there any recovery or downtime for cosmetic procedures?
Yes- and it varies based on the treatment. Many of our treatments do require time out of the sun before and after- your cosmetic provider will discuss any and all recovery or downtime restrictions with you at your appointment.
Cosmetic services are generally not medically necessary in nature and therefore not filed with your insurance carrier. Payment in full will be required at the time the services are provided in our office. Please note that some cosmetic services are only offered by certain providers and not at all locations.
